Ruxton Horses breeding  for  success

Our primary skill lies in the training of horses to compete in dressage, showjumping and eventing.

We are very proud of our horses and are committed to helping our clients get the best from their partnerships.

We are very pleased that Carl Hester is now riding Ruxton Dimitri. Roly Luard has bought this outstanding young horse for Carl to ride. We are very proud to say that we have produced him from a weanling. He was bred by Mrs Kirby in Monmouthshire and is by De Niro out of a Weltmeyer mare, you can't get bluer blood than that! We are sure he is a horse that will excell and we will enjoy watching his success. Congratulations to Carl and Roly.

Melanie Phillips is looking forward to an exciting year she is in the very lucky position of having three fantastic horses Ruxton Wundersohn, Ruxton Whisper and also Ruxton Conquistador to campaign as well as the youngsters coming through. Luckily she has some brilliant help from two excellent trainers, Carl Hester and Isobel Wessels.

Kim Mussell had a great year last year competing for the first time in dressage on Ruxton Pinacolada. This combination won almost every time out with scores well over 70%. You can see her on youtube competing at Allens Hill. They have also done well at the regionals at Addington, it was a big ask for a newcomer to dressage but I think Kim and Pepsi were well up to the job

Kim also passed her BHS stage III and also her PTT at her first attempt at the end of last year - brilliant!!

Our working student Natalie Bendall who joined us in September is also doing well and has improved her scores with Gruffi by 10 % already. They are aiming for the area festivals in April and want to qualify at Novice for this years summer regional.
