Ruxton Horses breeding  for  success

We believe in giving our horses the best possible start in life. We handle them from the beginning kindly but firmly so that the lessons they learn in the beginning stand them in good stead for life.

Our approach is to make sure that we take care of the health of our horses in a way that helps to minimise problems developing in the future.

They are regularly wormed and the farrier keeps their feet in good order. They are fully vaccinated against flu and tetanus.

The young stock live out during the summer and are barn-kept in winter with careful attention paid to their nutrition and respiratory health.

Foals stay with their mothers all summer at grass and are weaned generally in October.

We like our horses to be relaxed and happy. The competition horses receive a high standard of care and enjoy being turned out daily for rest and recreation!
